I made these simple invitation from blank note cards, ribbon and stickers. I loved that the cards came with these great pink envelopes.
On the inside it said...
Gals Gothtail Party
Eat, Drink and be Daring
Dress on the dark side
Then the date, time etc.
My supplies...
Blank note cards
Skull ribbon from Michael's
Plain silver ribbon
Martha Stewart skull and spider stickers from Michael's
Self adhesive pink gems from Joann's
Scrapbook taps to adhere the ribbon to the card.
First I cut the ribbon to size. Then I placed the silver ribbon under the black skull ribbon so it would show up better on the black card. Placed the gems on the skulls and spiders for bling! I printed the text on my computer. Then cut the paper to size and used the scrapbook tabs to secure it in the blank card.
Decorations
The one thing I was going for at this party was a lot of sparkle and bling. I had a couple bags of dollar store spiders that needed to be glitzed up! A little glitter paint did the trick.
Here is a cool thing I did and totally recycled trash. I bought a few bags of small skulls at Dollar Tree. I took the black mesh bags that they came in, cut the tops and bottoms off and slid them over these cylinder vase/candle holders. They looked spider webish and enabled me to slide my sparkly spiders inbetween and held the spiders in place.
Tablescape
Glitter skulls hung from silver and black branches on the food table.
This was the table centerpiece on my bar table. I have these great old back lighted church widows - they really set the mood.
Entertainment
Drinking and eating was our entertainment. We had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting a few new ones.
Scrapbook
The girls all looked great in their "Goth" look. A great time was had by all.
